Carano Gallery, Sherman Mills, East Fallscarano gallery, group show

carano gallery is a new cooperative exhibition space located in the East Falls neighborhood of Philadelphia. The gallery seeks to expand the visibility of contemporary arts and crafts in the East Falls community and Philadelphia; to represent and celebrate the diversity of work being created at Sherman Mills.

Sherman Mills is home to over fifty working artists and craftspeople scattered throughout the historic mill. A small group of experienced artists led the initiative to create a shared exhibit space with the explicit purpose of enabling Sherman Mills artists to reach new audiences of collectors and patrons. In addition, the significant shared effort and accomplishment has increased connections and mutual support among the artists themselves.

The gallery is named in honor of Frank Canaro, philanthropist and mentor to developer Mark Sherman.
