TEXTURES Exhibit

The Schuylkill Gallery is pleased to announce “Textures�, a group exhibition featuring paper art by Lesley Haas and encaustic paintings by Marion Spirn and Karen Freedman (Sherman Mills artist). Both handmade papers and encaustic work engage various media, from natural fibers and exotic pigments, to beeswax and resin. Each process requires several steps and both have a long history of development. The work by these artists display their passion for technique as well as the textures each can achieve.
Make Your Own Collage with Lesley Haas
April 28, 2007 10am - 12pm
Come with your ideas of how you’d like to make a textural paper based artwork. We will use handmade and commercial papers to create your own collage. Frame the finished piece and keep it or send as an extraordinary birthday card!
Materials will be provided. $35 workshop fee.

Encaustic Demonstration with Karen Freedman
